Mr. Casey began
his professional career with the Costa Mesa Police Department in
Costa Mesa,
California in 1973. He was P.O.S.T certified on May 11, 1973
and received advanced P.O.S.T. certification after successful completion of
additional law enforcement training in May, 1974 and 1979. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree at
Golden
West
College in January, 1971, a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Public Management at
Pepperdine
University in
April 1974 and a Master of Arts Degree in
Public Administration at Pepperdine
University in
April 1978. He also conducted post graduate studies
at the University of
Southern California.
Mr. Casey rose through the ranks within the Costa Mesa Police Department
after successfully serving in an undercover capacity in Narcotics to the rank of
Sergeant. He demonstrated law
enforcement leadership skills and became proficient in interviewing and
interrogation.
After a successful career with the Costa Mesa Police
Department, Mr. Casey retired and established Don Casey & Associates, Inc.
in San Diego,
California. While the Private Investigations firm
specialized in Pre-employment Screening and Background Investigations, it was a
full service firm that also conducted surveillances, undercover assignments and
security services to firms that experienced workplace theft matters. Mr. Casey established himself as a
leader among San Diego Private Investigators. He earned polygraph certification from
Baxter School of Lie Detection and was licensed by the State of
California in August 1985. Mr. Casey distinguished himself as an
expert in Internal Theft Investigations and has served several firms in the
San Diego metropolitan area.
In August 2002, Mr. Casey assumed his current position as Director of
Special Operations with Proficient Investigations and is an integral part of the
firm, which has become a leader in providing comprehensive yet affordable
Pre-employment Screening and Background Investigations to corporate clients
throughout the United
States.
