Andrew R. Golden

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Mr. Golden began his professional career with the United States Navy in February 1974 after attending Ashland College and the University of Toledo in Ohio.  Mr. Golden was stationed on a Guided Missile Destroyer Escort based out of San Diego, California, and performed technical maintenance and repair of sonar underwater detection systems. Mr. Golden participated in overseas operations, including the evacuation of Vietnamese citizens in April 1975 when South Vietnam surrendered to North Vietnamese troops, ending the United States involvement in Vietnam.

After being Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1978, Mr. Golden commenced his business career with Sweda International, Inc., as their Los Angeles Service Manager.  Upon completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at California State University at Long Beach in 1981, Mr. Golden joined Tec America, Inc., as their Product Development Manager for Convenience Store Systems.  From 1984 to 1987, Mr. Golden served as Product Marketing Manager for Norand Corporation, Denver, Colorado, and was instrumental in the signing of a $16 million contract with FEDEX.  In 1987, Mr. Golden returned to Los Angeles as the Southern California Regional Sales Manager for Mitsubishi Electronics. Mr. Golden returned to Sweda in 1990 as Los Angeles Sales Manager and was responsible for multi-million dollar sales accounts.  In 1992, Mr. Golden joined Epson America, Inc., as Product Marketing Manager for Point of Sale peripherals.  During that time, Epson’s product line grew from $19 million to $138 million per year as a result of Mr. Golden’s national and international travels to the far-east and Latin America.  Subsequently, Mr. Golden was hired as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Snap Systems and Farstone Technology, two software companies that specialized in providing software for retail and personal applications.

Mr. Golden conducted post-graduate studies at Pepperdine University and attained a Masters in Business Administration.  He subsequently developed extensive experience in eCommerce marketing.  In June 2000, Mr. Golden was elected to the Board of Directors of the Proficient Group, Inc., San Diego, California.

In December 2001, Mr. Golden assumed his current position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Proficient Investigations and is an integral part of the firm, which has become a leader in providing comprehensive yet affordable Pre-employment Screening and Background Investigations to corporate clients in throughout the United States.
